Micrography -
The Judgement of King Shlomo (Solomon)
Poster is a micrography of Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs),
Mishlei (Proverbs), Melachim (Kings) and Kohelet
(Ecclesiastes). It depicts King Solomon in the famous story of
two women who came to him for judgement. One child was being claimed
by both of the women as being theirs. King Solomon decided that
the child should be cut in half, and half should be given to each
of them. One woman agreed - and the other disagreed. She preferred
to let the other woman have the child alive, than to receive half
the child. "She is the Mother" declared King Solomon,
"As she cares about the child". In the poster, King
Solomon can be seen on his throne, with both women in front of
him. At the left is a man holding the child and a sword, ready
to cut the child.
Can be framed easily, and is a must for any Jewish home or Judaica
collection.
Poster measures 19-2/3"
