The Sea of Halacha - Map of the Oral Law
Poster shows how the Halacha, Jewish Law, developed over
time. Starting with the Oral Law that was transmitted on Sinai,
it includes the Zugot (the Pairs), that are found in Pirkei
Avot (Ethics of Fathers); Tannaim; the developement of the
Mishna, Baraita and Tosefta; Babylonian Amoraim and Eretz Israel
Amoraim; the Jerusalem Talmud; the Babylonian Talmud; Savoraim;
Geonim; the Responsa; many cities in which great Yehivas and Torah
Scholars resided and studied, and much more.
The poster can be used as an important educational tool. Can be
framed easily, and is a must for any Jewish home or Judaica collection,
as well as aiding study for children.
